Entry #19: The fat man walks alone. I'm just saying.

Don't deny it, you have a fictional character or two that, if were real, you'd hope to have a relationship with. I refer to to my as my movie boyfriend.

I had a long-term thing with my first movie boyfriend. In fact, it's only in the past couple years that we broke up and I moved on. I still have a soft spot for him though. Because first love and all. I thought it would last forever, but I was young. Chances are you loved him too, but we were serious. So, Lucas from Empire Records, I will only think of you with fond memories. (I even have head!canon how we would have met and what happened from there. It's quite elaborate.)

Anyways, if you don't know why I loved him:

Seriously, see this movie if you haven't. It was just everything that I, as a teenager in the mid 90's, wanted to be. And the soundtrack is choice. Just...see it, okay?

But then a year and half ago I found someone new. And it was love at first sight, or snark in his case. It helps that he's played by my current number one celebrity crush. But, this character is almost everything I find attractive. If I had a list of qualities, personality and superficial-wise, he would tick almost all the boxes.

He doesn't even show up for the first 45 minutes of film! The things I go through for him. But then he does show up and it's all good.

If I could, I will marry, or at least have a very serious relationship with, CIA Analyst William Brandt. He's sarcastic. He's smart. He's sexy. He's slightly awkward. He's a slightly tortured soul (we've covered my feeling about that before). He's a snappy dresser. He can kick butt when need be. He's just...perfect. It's hard finding a proper clip here because every moment he's on is gold. So, here's a fan vid set to the MI theme and the one clear clip I could find.

Entry #17: Mid-Season Pick-up

Season 2 of The Fall will show up on Netflix on January 16th and in March, Community is supposed to show up on Yahoo! Screen. And Outlander (Starz) comes back in April but that's a bit far out for this schedule.

Entry #16: Not Stopped, Just On Hold

So, I haven't abandoned this. In fact, I have quite a few ideas for posts. But life is what happens when making other plans.

Initially, things just fell behind. Then, my depression came back with a vengeance. And anyone who has dealt with that knows that you just sort of...exist. Then I went on vacation (which was great). Then I came home and immediately got sick with a bad sinus infection. While I am still battling the post-nasal drip of that, I got better after around a week and half. Then, I just plain got busy with one of my two jobs.

That leads me to now. I am going to try to catch up rather quickly. Which, as my readership is approximately three: me, myself, and I, won't bother many with spam. We will see if this can actually happen.

Entry #15: Status Quo

I am aware that everyone has their moments of self-doubt and 'no one cares or understands me'.

Right now, I am going through that. It's compounded by some other things too.

The thing is, and I'm sure I'm not the only one, I have to suffer in silence.

When I have tried to talk about it to others in the past, I've been flat out ignored or basically told to get over it. So, after a while, I stop trying. Because I know nobody cares.

When I see those posts of "Talk to me about anything. I'm here for you." I laugh because I know it's not true. In fact, some of those posts soon after unfollow me. Which is their right, but still...

So, I stay quiet. Because unlike others, if I post my troubles, no one is going to send me a message to cheer me up. It's been proven over and over again.

I know I'm probably not the easiest person to deal with. But I have tried in the past to be there for others. And every time, they aren't there for me.

And I'm putting this out there knowing hardly anyone will read it. And if they do, their problems will out weigh mine. So, I'll be ignored. Again. I'm used to it by now.

Entry #14: Not the Most Exciting of Topics

You know what sucks?

Having a lovely week-long vacation and upon returning, getting a sinus infection.

It was sort of lurking while I was gone. I got back late Thursday and by Sunday morning, misery.

Isn't that how it always goes though? You need a vacaction when you get back from vacation.

As such, while I'm playing catch up in both work and television (I am up to last Sunday on my DVR!), I'll will be downing orange juice and noodle soup. Blowing my nose in excessive amounts. And being a lump on my sofa.

*sniff* *cough* *blah*

Entry #13: The Celebration Message

It was a friend of mine's birthday on Monday. He's just a delightful human being. And one of the things that bonded us was a mutual love of Welcome to Nightvale. As such, this was the message I posted on his Facebook wall:

"Celebrate dear friend. Celebrate your expulsion into an unsuspecting world that did not yet know what had been unleashed upon it. Celebrate with a confectionery delight made with the essence of your foes. And with a festive banner or two. Until next year...good night [name redacted]. Good night. (Seriously, happy birthday.)"

He told me it was breathtaking.

I thanked him as I am quite proud of it! And I said as long as he read it in Cecil's voice, he was welcome.
